ACU Arts students studying in Rome

About arts

Build a degree that focuses on your strengths and passions so you can face the challenges of the future as a well-rounded, confident and flexible individual. You can fast-track your Bachelor of Arts so you’ll complete the degree in 2.5 years or make an arts degree one half of a dual degree, doubling your impact in the jobs market. As an arts graduate in a rapidly changing world your in-demand and transferable skills in communication, problem solving and creative thinking will allow you to meet the needs of employers across a range of industries.

Get the advantage

Approach the jobs market with a better understanding of career development. Our Arts Advantage unit will arm you with the knowledge to maximise your credentials. You’ll learn to recognise the stages of the work search, be given the toolkit to build your online networking presence and be introduced to opportunities such as the Big Idea social enterprise challenge.

A global classroom

Study an arts degree and unlock opportunities to take your learning international. We offer a number of intensive overseas study units across a range of disciplines; including visual arts, drama, history and geography. Gain a global perspective learning in Rome, Venice or New York.

Teaching excellence

Stand out from the crowd. Our small class sizes mean you’re so much more than just a number. You’ll have the opportunity to develop strong working relationships with your lecturers and tutors who come into lecturer theatres and classrooms with extensive experience and a strong commitment to research.

A headstart on research

Get a headstart on the next stage of your learning journey. Excel in the early years of your arts degree and you’ll be invited to join the Arts Scholars Program. You’ll be introduced to ACU’s lively research culture where you’ll be able to develop critical thinking, communication and research skills and begin planning postgraduate study.
